| 1985 | Joined the RAF and after completion of Recruit and Basic Gunner Training (BG7/85) at the RAF Regiment Depot Catterick was posted to II Squadron RAF Regiment, RAF Hullavington, Wiltshire. |
| 1986 | Completed Pre Parachute selection and Basic Parachute course. Four month detachment to RAF Aldergrove. |
| 1988 | Posted to 34 Squadron RAF Regiment, RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus. |
| 1990 | Attended promotion course at the RAF Regiment Depot and was promoted to Corporal. Deployed to Dhahran airbase, Saudi Arabia as part of OP Granby. |
| 1992 | Posted to 33 Squadron RAF, a Support Helicopter Squadron based at RAF Odiham, Hampshire. |
| 1995 | Deployed with the Support Helicopter Force to Ploce dock in Croatia as part of the UN Rapid Reaction Force to the Former Yugoslavia. |
| 1996 | Posted back to II Squadron RAF Regiment at the new RAF Regiment Depot, Honington, Suffolk. Participated in Exercise Purple Star in the USA. Deployed to the Former Yugoslavia as part of the peace implementation force (IFOR) for a six month tour. |
| 1997 | Completed 81mm Mortar NCOs course at the School of Infantry, Warminster. |
| 1998 | Posted to 3 Squadron RAF Regiment, RAF Aldergrove. Submitted 18 months notice to leave the RAF. |
| 1999 | Discharged from the RAF. Commenced employment with a computer software company. |
